About

I am originally from Denmark and moved to the US when I was 27. I have a BA in Social Education from Denmark. After living in San Francisco and working in a children's residential treatment facility for several years, my wife and I moved to Buffalo. I began my career at Best-Self, I worked at their PROS clinic and then moved to the Assertive Community Treatment team (ACT). As an ACT counselor, I helped some of the most vulnerable members of our community with mental illness and substance abuse. Working in the local community in Buffalo was fantastic, because I got to see many sides of Buffalo that I otherwise would not have experienced.
I knew that I wanted more and went for my Masters in Social Work from University at Buffalo. I have worked in a clinical setting at Spectrum Human Services, Erie Community Medical Center Co-Occurring Outpatient Behavioral Health clinic, and Landmark Health Systems.
I now have 20 years of experience working in the field. I am fortunate to have worked in a variety of settings, which has helped me develop an appreciation for different cultures and people. Through humor, compassion, and kindness, I will assist you through your journey,
